Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist
He was born in Hatay in 1980. He completed his primary education at Dörtyol Atatürk Primary School. He studied secondary school at İskenderun İstiklal Makzume Anatolian High School and high school at Adana Science High School. In 1998, he passed the university exam at Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine and graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and received the title of Doctor of Medicine. In September 2004, he passed the Medical Specialization Examination in Turkey and went to Ankara Dr. He gained the right to specialize in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital. He received the title of Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist in January 2010.
After his compulsory service, he specialized in Ankara Dr. in 2013. At Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital, he succeeded in the Chief Assistant exam and started working as the Chief Assistant in the training staff. He worked at the Gynecology and Gynecological Endoscopy Center at Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital between 2013-2014, and between 2014-2016. He worked at the Gynecological Oncology Center and again at the Gynecology and Gynecological Endoscopy Center between 2016 and 2019. He served as the Chief of the Birth Room and Pregnancy Polyclinic from time to time in 2018 and 2019. In addition, during this period, he broke new ground in Turkey in 2017 and founded the ‘Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Center’ and served as the director of this Center between 2017-2019. After taking the Associate Professorship exam in April 2016, he was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics. In 2017, he continued to work at the same hospital as a faculty member at the University of Health Sciences. Dr. H. Onur Topçu worked at Ankara Memorial Hospital between April 2019 and November 2020. Later, he received specialized training in neuropelveology (neuropelviology) in Zurich, Switzerland.
As of November 2020, it started to provide services in its own center in Ankara.
Dr. H. Onur Topçu attended the Assisted Reproductive Treatment Center Practices Course (In Vitro Fertilization) at Gülhane Training and Research Hospital between July 2018 and December 2018 and successfully completed this course. Dr. H. Onur Topçu has more than 80 scientific articles published in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He also has many lectures given at many national and international congresses and over 100 papers, some of which have received awards. Dr. Topçu Received the Title of Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in October 2023
Dr. H. Onur Topçu is a surgeon who has successfully performed laparoscopic (closed) uterine surgeries (laparoscopic myomectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy (uterine prolapse surgery), laparoscopic endometrioma, laparoscopic deep infiltrative endometriosis surgery, laparoscopic cystectomy, laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal, laparoscopic fimbrioplasty, laparoscopic salpingectomy, laparoscopic neosalpingostomy – opening of blocked tubes, laparoscopic oncological surgeries, hysteroscopic adhesiolysis – opening of intrauterine adhesions, hysteroscopic septum resection, hysteroscopic myomectomy – removal of intrauterine myomas – and removal of polyps). Also Dr. H. Onur Topçu has experience in in vitro fertilization, management of risky pregnancies, and surgery for placenta adhesion anomalies (placenta percrata, accreta, etc.).
