Deep Infiltrative Endometriosis (Deep Endometriosis)
Endometriosis is mostly a disease of the lower abdomen. It is most commonly known as chocolate cyst. However, the condition called chocolate cyst is an endometriosis disease of the eggs. The awareness of chocolate cyst is higher because it is relatively easier to diagnose.
Deep infiltrative endometriosis or deep endometriosis disease is responsible for the main pain in endometriosis disease. In the case of deep endometriosis, the endometriotic cells that cause this disease can continue to move deeper into the organs and cause severe pain or organ loss. It is not uncommon for a chocolate cyst to cause severe pain on its own. Women with severe pain are more likely to have deep endometriosis.
Pain during menstruation, increasing pain while defecating or urinating during menstruation, deep pain during intercourse, and pain shooting towards the leg and coccyx are signs of deep endometriosis.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis of deep endometriosis is difficult. Especially patients who do not have a concurrent chocolate cyst go to many different departments and eventually are even referred to psychiatry. Hello, it has been 10 months since I got married and in the last 3 months, my menstruation started to be irregular. Until the last 3 months, I was a regular menstrual cycle every 28 days. Like every woman, I had heavy periods during my menstrual period. I thought I would never have a problem having a baby when I got married, but until now I never had a problem. I had not been examined in obstetrics. When my irregularity started, I went for an examination at a private hospital and he said that I had a chocolate cyst and that I should wait for six months and try to see if I could get pregnant spontaneously because my wife and I are engineers in the field in different cities. Since we could not be together during the ovulation period, he said that we should wait. Because I have adapted to the cyst incident. I met with 6 doctors in 5 days and got their opinions.
